Dhola Sadiya - an Assamese song on the longest bridge in India by Kalpana Patowary.



                

Brahmaputra is one of the longest rivers of the world. In the easternmost part of India on this river the longest river bridge of the country is recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India. On this occasion a song has been presented by one of the popular singers of India Ms. Kalpana Patowary. The lyric of the song is composed by Dr. Dinesh Baishya an Assamese lyricist describing the ancient history of the ancient Chutia kingdom of which Sadia was the capital. The lyric also includes the history of cultural diversity and international trade of the people of hills and plains of this region.
